11 Days, No Shore Power, No Problem
What Hurricane Michael taught us about RV ownership — and the gear that kept our family going when the grid didn't.
Part-time wanderers. Full-time family.
We're James and Mallory, with our toddler and our dogs — including the one who inspired it all, Willow.
We've been camping since 2007, graduated from tents to trailers, and made the leap to our first 5th wheel in 2025. We don't live on the road full-time — we just refuse to let vacation season be the only time we make memories.
This is our little corner of the internet for families who love the outdoors, aren't afraid of a little adventure, and want real, practical advice from people who've done it with kids, dogs, and a fully packed truck.

🎆
Multiple campsites, a rotating family cookout, e-scooters through the resort, and Willow on Mallory's lap for the fireworks.
The full packing list we actually use — built over years of forgetting exactly one critical thing every trip.
Every camper we've owned since 2007, what we loved, what we'd never do again, and why we landed on the Sabre.
Started camping together in tents.
First pull-behind camper.
Hurricane Michael — 11 days living off the camper.
Made the leap to our Sabre 36FLX 5th wheel.
🔋The power station that runs our fridge and CPAP — plus solar to keep it topped off.
💧Our everyday filter, our serious drinking-water setup, and the inline filter we never camp without.
🛴The seated e-scooter that made July in Florida a lot less sweaty.
We read every message. Tell us where you camped, what went sideways, or what gear saved the trip — it might end up in a future post.
